CHAPTER THIRTEEN: Autumn

By the time Sunday comes, I am noticeably distraught and disillusioned regarding my relationship with Benny. Clearly having Reese here in New York with Benny and me just backfired. Not once this weekend does Benny touch me or show me any type of affection. His actions are cold-hearted towards me but all lovey-dovey to one of my great friends. The two of them have sexual relations every chance they get this entire weekend.

When I get up on Saturday to make everyone breakfast, Benny is in the guest room giving Reese’s pussy a pounding. I don’t get upset since I know she is in just as much of a relationship with me as she was with Benny. I just assume that when they are done, he and I will talk about it like we did before, get turned on and have the most passionate sex ever. That doesn’t happen. Instead, Benny just pushes me aside like I don’t exist.

Saturday afternoon, he takes us shopping but instead of feeling like the three of us are back in a relationship, it feels like Benny and Reese are in a relationship and I am the third wheel. The two of them make me feel like an outsider in my own marriage. The three of us have sex again that night and again, it is the same thing like Friday night. Benny gives all of his attention to her. It appears that I’m running out of time and efforts. Back to the drawing board I go if I plan to make my marriage work.

Sunday morning before Reese leaves to go back to Palm Beach, she and I decide to go have breakfast in a quaint diner in Brooklyn. The time alone is supposed to be a time for me to pick her brain about Benny and I. Instead, she tells me things that I don’t want to hear.

“Autumn, do you think you accomplished what you set out to do by making Benny fall back in love with you this weekend?”

“Totally not!”

“Why do you say that?”

“Because my husband was fawning all over you like I didn’t even exist.”

“That’s not true, girl.”

“I’m sorry but were you in the same bed as the two of us?”

Reese chuckled. “Girl, of course I was there. You know Benny and I had some time to talk when you were cooking yesterday. It seems like he genuinely loves his wife but that he feels like maybe you might be stepping out on him.”

“He said all that?” I sit back from the table and cross my arms. Interesting that he would say that. “Did he give you any explanation as to why he believes I’m stepping out on him?”

“No, not really. You know, Autumn, you are really lucky to have a man like Benny. I would do anything to have a man like that.”

Did she really just sit in my face and tell me some B.S. about my own husband? Besides, just on Thursday she had me believing that she only wants to be in a relationship with a woman.
